GLP-1 therapy, in context

GLP-1 medications can be a powerful tool for appetite regulation and metabolic health. They work best inside a plan that also protects muscle, supports sleep, and accounts for hormonal change.

Medication is prescribed only when a licensed clinician determines it is clinically appropriate for you. It is never automatic, and it is never the whole plan.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

See if you qualify
What are my weight loss treatment options through Adair?

Adair offers access to a range of prescription options for women managing a high BMI, obesity, or weight-related health concerns. These include FDA-approved medications for weight management as well as compounded medications prepared by licensed pharmacies in accordance with a provider's prescription.

Your treatment plan is personalized by a licensed healthcare provider based on your individual health profile and goals.

Please note: while some medications available through Adair are FDA-approved for weight management, compounded medications are not reviewed or approved by the FDA. They are prepared to meet the needs of individual patients when commercially available options are not suitable.

How much does treatment cost?

Membership covers your clinical care. Medication is priced separately by the dispensing pharmacy, starting at $145 per four weeks depending on the treatment your provider prescribes. Final pricing is confirmed at checkout based on your plan and medication.

Are video visits with a clinician required?

It depends on your state, your history, and the type of medication. Some consultations are synchronous, such as a video visit; others are asynchronous through secure messaging. When a video visit is required, it is usually the initial one. Follow-ups, dose adjustments, and questions are typically handled through messaging with your care team.

Is insurance required?

No. Adair is cash-pay with transparent pricing and straightforward billing, so you can access care without navigating insurance.

Which pharmacies do you partner with?

We work with a network of licensed pharmacies across the states we serve, so members can reliably access the medication their provider prescribes.

Medical services are provided by licensed physicians and clinicians affiliated with independently owned and operated medical practices. Adair Care L.L.C. provides administrative, technology, and management services and does not provide medical care.

How do I know if I qualify for treatment?

A state-licensed healthcare provider reviews your health history, medications, labs where appropriate, and goals to determine whether treatment is right for you. Eligibility is always determined by a clinician before anything is prescribed.

How long do I need to stay on the medication?

GLP-1 medications are intended for long-term use rather than as a short-term fix. If treatment stops, the factors that contributed to weight gain may return. Always talk with your provider before changing your plan.

When will I see results?

Change takes time, and every woman's timeline is different. Consistency with treatment, protein, strength training, and sleep plays a meaningful role in your progress. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

What are the potential side effects?

As your body adapts, you may experience temporary side effects such as nausea, upset stomach, or digestive discomfort. These are common and often improve over time. Your care team supports you with personalized dose adjustments, messaging with a licensed provider, and step-by-step guidance for managing symptoms.

If you experience severe or persistent side effects, contact your provider immediately.

Can my provider adjust my dose during treatment?

Yes. Your provider can modify your dose at any point to match your history, progress, and goals. Your plan is meant to be personalized and flexible throughout your journey.

Can I switch treatments if my current one isn't working?

Yes. If your current treatment isn't delivering the results you and your provider expected, your prescription can be adjusted so you receive the option best suited to you.
